Bearing nuts, shaft nuts, and withdrawal nuts are common names for KM Locking Nuts. To firmly locate bearings and other components onto a shaft, they are frequently used in combination with the appropriate tab washers. They can also be used to mount shafts with taper bore bearings. You can also pull the adaptor sleeve into the tapered bearing bore. Withdrawal sleeves are inserted into the tapered bearing bore using shaft nuts. By putting a removal nut onto the thread of the withdrawal sleeve and pinning it against the bearing's inner ring until it slides out of the bearing, withdrawal sleeves can be demounted.
